A report from the week with Michael Umback fishing Rooney’s Point, Fraser Island. They caught 11 blacks 10-25kg in the first 4 days fishing and went 3-2-0 on the last day. Michael says he jumped aboard Lioin’s boat to help him leader his first ever marlin estimated at 80kg – it was a surprise to see one that big at Rooney’s!

Back up at Cairns, were were in town for the day yesterday so I didn’t hear too much – Capt. Dean Beech’s Onsite and Capt. Laurie Wright on Calypso both caught smaller fish at the Bank.
