Good reports of fish showing up on the southern reefs on Monday though mostly smaller fish.  Capt. Ian Ford on Hot Shot released two smaller fish on Linden Bank and missed the bite of the bigger one.  Ian also tells me that Capt. Ashley Wallis on Kalira fishing nearby released 3 from 4 as well.

Up at Lena Reef, Capt. Daniel Carlson at the helm of the big boat Little Audrey found the fish releasing two at 200 and 400lb.  Fishing alongside having returned from his Bali refresher, Capt. Adam Jordan at the helm of Iona 2 raised 7, with 5 bites and caught three all around the 150lb range.  Adam also reports raising another big fish but unfortunately pulled the bait from its mouth.  Good to see Adam away from his bus stop!

A few more boats are beginning the journey north this week as we congregate at the ‘rock’ for the tournament starting this weekend. Hopefully the bite is coming on, just in time.
