Updated: The Caelli’s on Broadbill enjoyed a weekend trip out to the seamounts ex- Gold Coast with 4 from 4 blue marlin including one they put at 750lbs! Game & Leisure Boats’ principle Graham McCloy and the crew on Caboom are yet to return so we look forward to hearing how they fair out there as well!

KEKOA finished their latest trip at Fraser Island adding another 16 blacks for Scotty over the 3 days. Scotty has had a great last couple of trips with his tally for the last two now at 55.

There are still good numbers of the juvenile black marlin being caught at Fraser Island. Capt. Luke Fallon’s KEKOA added another 7 to the season tally yesterday.

Over in the west off Broome its sailfish season and Capt. Jeda Ellens Makaira Game Fishing went 5 from 6.

In Victoria (and Tassie) the swords are going hot. Home Straight went 2 from 2 including a pending Australian and Victorian record for Hayley Murphay at 194kg on 24kg. Capt. Daniel Klein took some time to jump on the rod with Richie Abela’s Dream Catcher Sport Fishing for his first swordfish on Sunday at 203kg. Mate Grant Sorenson also notched up his first on the same trip on Saturday.
