Catch up photo from one of On Site’s big fish from the previous days. And big catch up report from Capt. Corey Hard’s Askari. Corey says that they’ve started season 2018 where they left off last year reaching their 50th fish for the season so far yesterday.
On the last trip 5 and a half days they caught caught 18 fish with 8 of the fish he estimated to be 700 or better. Corey says “This is truly the greatest giant marlin capital of the world, period.”
Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic Day 4
Capt. Casey Dent’s Zulu has extended their lead on Day4 with 4 fish tagged – Amanda tells me they were6-5-4 and also cracked off a nice one – it was also a better day overall for numbers. 24 tags among the fleet.
Pro-fish-ent added 3 tags to keep them in touch with the leaders as did Port Hacking’s Black Listed.
Another Port Hacking GFC team on The Outlaw added a nice one they called 900lbs. As did Capt. Daniel Radcliffe’s Minke with a fish they called 850lbs.
Current standings are: Zulu on 11 tags from Amokura on 8 tags from Absolute on 7 tags. Next is Black Listed on 6, The Outlaw on 5, Althaldo, Moana, Pro-fish-ent on 4 each in that order and Ultimate Lady and Minke on 3, and Absolut, Wild Turkey and Serendipity on 2.
