The 2016 Cairns marlin season is nearing its end although the fishing keeps plodding along much as it has all season.  The big closer will be the Ladies Ribbons competition on Saturday!

Yesterday not too much to report with only a few boats fishing – Capt. Tim Richardson’s Tradition 450 for Stuart from Hong Kong. Hopefully they can add another today their last short day of the season! And Capt. Casey Dent’s Zulu also added two.

2016 Groote Eylandt Billfish Tournament

Final stats for the comp were 180 raised, 99 hooked and 61 tagged. 14 of which were marlin with the remainder sails.
