Magical calm day on the Great Barrier Reef yesterday. However, for many, the magical quality did not extend to the fishing. The tournament Day 6 kicked off with two fish in quick succession (400lbs to Alicia on Iona and 100lbs to Sharon on Think Big) and then it went very quiet for about 3.5 hours!!
The next fish was recorded by Black Magic who followed up with a second after 5pm to take out the daily.
In what has already been a great showing for the lady anglers, Carolyn Mills on Ultimate Lady added to that with a fish that Capt. Tom Francis put at 950lbs late in the day. The only boat hooked up at cease fishing, we were all eagerly awaiting the result of the expected big fish!
A total of 7 tags on Day 6, including one for Askari to put them on equal tags to tournament leaders on Zulu on countback should make for an interesting final day of fishing!
The standings are: Zulu and Askari on 8 tags. Iona 2 and Adrenaline are on 5 tags. Onsite and Black Magic are on 4. Levante, Think Big and Ultimate Lady are on 3. Amokura, Little Audrey, Duyfken and Black Label are on 2. Hellraiser, Top Shot, Wild Turkey, Hemisphere, Viking II, Reel Power, Fascination and Althaldo are on 1.

Last day Casey on Zulu, it would be good to see you dig deep and pull a grander like you did for us last week .
Hi Kel
Fishing the Whitsunday light tackle 10kg tourney day 2 of 3. Annie Ryan has a 80kg black and 2 vermin. So we are up there. We are fishing on local boat Stryka. We think there has been 8 billfish so far but lots of vermin.
