Well it’s that time of year as we edge closer to the big marlin season that things start to get exciting on the blog.  I’ve got a few announcements coming this week starting with the newsletter that will be going out to subscribers tomorrow. On the fishing front, not a terrible lot to report. A few more light tackle and not so light tackle fish off Cairns. Capt. Casey Dent’s Zulu headed out to Linden Bank on Thursday for a fish he put at about 120lbs in the first 20 minutes after lines in. And I heard that Capt. Ross Finlayson’s Top Shot found some juvies going 3 from 5 out there as well.

Likewise in Townsville the weather has been limiting the on-water activity but there have been a few around for boats on the northern grounds.
