I did it. I’ll own up. I jinxed the weather with my post yesterday!
As we woke at the anchorage to absolute glamour, we began to eagerly anticipate an action packed day on the big blue ocean ahead. But within an hour of exiting the reef, the weather had turned nasty with storms from the east including thunder, a bit of lightening and incessant rain–and all this whipping up the winds to 25knots+. It was enough to get your socks wet in the tower! (Hey Tim!)
Some boats chose to go back in behind the reef for a relax day. Some headed in early to Cairns. Pretty much all the same results – saw a couple and that was it.
Hopefully today it turns around again as some more wind is forecast later in the week.
