After a disappointing light tackle season a few of the smaller Townsville GFC boats have taken advantage of the great weather to make a start to their heavy tackle season on the grounds off Myrmidon Reef. As we chugged north to Cairns, Capt. Luke was able to get Mick on Princess C on the radio who was hugely excited to report he’d just released one that he put in the 6-700lb range. Mark on Mojo also had a few bites. They stayed overnight on the reef so there may be more to report today.
