Steve reports that in the week since the tournament the weather has vastly improved and the fishing is firing once again. On the weekend, 5 knot winds and 28 degree temperatures greeted the 20 plus boats on the water.
The bait was still stacked 30m high and this time it had black marlin all over it. Boats on the bait ball were getting 10 plus shots a day on the blacks and tagging between 5 and 10 a day, with a few sailfish thrown in. Steve estimates that the marlin are in the 30-80kg size range with the odd 100-120kg fish amongst them. And quite a few lady anglers tagged their first marlin on the weekend too.
